I like the site. I think it is clean with good information. It is pretty uncommon for Maui Lenders to have their own site. Is it the same case with Oahu? If so, I would imagine the mere presence and quality of the site would be a big advantage for you. The one thing I would suggest is some detail on the advantage of using a local lender like yourself over a mainland lender for Hawaii Real Estate transactions.

Hello Scott, welcome to the forum

As far as the seo goes it looks like you are at ground zero. You should put a meta keyword and description in the top of your code. Also put the javascript in an external file. Im assuming 'Aina Mortgage' is your keyword. If thats the case the first time you mention it i would put it in a h1 tag and use font tags ( or better yet css ) to make it fit with the rest of the paragraph. 2nd the last time you mention it i would put that in a h2 tag. Last and most important start to build backlinks.

If you havent already read this , it is a good place to start, http://www.seo-guy.com/tutorial.html

EDIT: I also forgot to mention, the title tag for all your pages in the same, i would change it to reflect the content of each induvidual page, so you can target more keywords. Forgive my ignorance, but is "Aina" only the name of your company or also the city? If it's only your company i suggest this tool: http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/suggestion/ to pick more suitable keywords.
    Otherwise it is fine.

I wanted to add one more thing, i noticed your link architecture is set up very odd, with every page in a different directory. I just wanted to note a observation,i dont have the expertise to say whether or not it will have a detrimental effect on your descent up the serps

    Thumbs up

Pete - Here on Oahu, there are many brokers with sites, but few loan officers.
Since the site is new, and I'm new to the webmaster thing, I don't have any way to track its effectiveness, yet. Also your vewpoint as a realtor on <advantage of using a local lender like yourself over a mainland lender for Hawaii Real Estate transactions> would be appreciated.

ewok - thanks for pointing me in the right direction - I don't have a full understanding of what you're saying, but I'll study up and follow your recommendations. Thanks!

I am short on specifics regarding the advantages of local vs offshore lenders as I am new to business. I know that on Maui local lenders are better suited to understanding the types of loans necessary with Condotels, restrictions on loans due to Hui land, special types of zoning etc. I know in our office there have been situations where mainland lenders have stated that a loan is all but approved and one of these factors have come up to squash the loan at the last second. We have had to call in more experienced local lenders at the last minute to salvage a loan. I think Maui may have a few more peculiarities than Oahu. Perhaps, the loan process is more forgiving for mainland lenders. For your sake, I hope local knowledge still has an advantage.

    Scott,

I didn't read through all of the other posts, so sorry if I am repeating anything here, but some very basic tweaks could help you a lot with the search engines:

1 - Use keyword rich titles, target one or two phrases, but don't go overboard.
2 - Use that meta-description, and put it *above* all of that javascript.
3 - You may consider throwing in a meta-title tag, just for kicks.

If I were you I would concentrate on getting some text above that javascript...

    Anyway, just some ideas...

    Cheers - Ale.
