NPO lists?

We have a unique listed property that we believe would be perfect for an npo such as a battered woman's organization, or half-way house, runaway shelter etc.

Anyone have any idea how to find these types of organizations in a local community (besides the phone book).

Hey Jessie...

Been thinking about this one...NPO's all have to be registered as 503c's (non profit corporations)...perhaps you could get a list from your state government where they would be incorporated?

Just a thought...never tired it...

That's a good idea.

I went to a few websites yesterday after posting this, including a state site that supposedly lists npo's by county.

It seems the only listed npo in Bay County is the Boy Scouts and I know for a fact there are more (Jennifer has spoken to 2 this week and not the BSoA).

But I'll try your idea and see if has more information.

Glad you liked it--here's another. The United Way works with literally hundreds of charities and NPO's in almost any given county...they might have a list as well since they provide funding to them...

Gotta run to take my son to a football game...but will jump in with more thoughts later if I don't fall asleep after sitemapping...(grin)
