    Question Email Marketing --

I'm not sure if this is the correct category for this post but I looked through all the other ones and they didn't seem to fit it any better.

I'm not sure which online email marketing solution I should use to collect information from my website and blogs and then in turn produce e-newsletters etc. I have tried out Constant Contact, iContact, AWeber etc.

I was just curious to know which one you all recommend.

I've been using aweber for about a year know, it works well and really like the service. However, the question is what do you try to acomplish?

Send a newsletter to all your leads by type (buyer, seller)?

Send customized market updates based on your leads' location?

You should pick a program/service based on your goals.

How are their HTML templates for newsletters? Or do you have to manually create one?

All my newsletters are currently in plain text. I tested both formats and found that my delivery rate dropped with HTML. It's a trade-off. I can't track as much with plain text, and of course the design is plain, but it's faster to write them and more of them get delivered and read.

To answer your question, Aweber has over 30 HTML templates, and some are pretty nice.

Personally, I like GetReponse.com. I think they have a much better interface than aweber and it was much easier for me to adapt to. They also have some very nice HTML templates that you can use (even though I just stick with plain text since that is compatible with all email).

Email Marketing is something really important and if you don't have the time to do it properly, you should better outsurce it to someone that is doing that with passion and full time as living from it.

Be careful with html based emails. Outlook will not accept the formatting and it will look like a mess.

Outlook accepts HTML emails. Are you talking about the 'ease' with which you can ceate and send a WYSIWYG / html email within outlook?

Does anyone just use the CMS on the REW backend for this? I am waiting for my upgrade to v.2 and I was assuming that I would be able to do it there.
