Default Open House sign in question

How do you get people to sign in at a Open House? What do you have them sign in on? Just a piece a paper, lether notebook, information cards? Do you put your logo, contact info, etc on the Sign in page?
Looking for different ideas or trick of the trade.

    Thanks,
    Shari

I can't get a single viewer to sign in to anything, unless we offer them something (must have something to do with our area) for free.

They're all afraid we're going to bombard them with mail and emails.

Even when we explain it's for the sellers information and promise not to contact them!

    Sheesh, can we say Paranoid?

An easy way to approach it is to say that "at the owners request, please sign in the guest book". If they refuse, than why would you want them to come in.

I just ask them to sign it. The owner of the house would like a record of who is coming through his property and I would like to show him that I have been successful in bringing prospects to his listing. Most people will fill it out.

If they don't, I probably wouldn't want to call them or work with them anyway.

You can always have a drawing for a Starbucks gift card or something. People always like to win free stuff.
