does anybody feel that yahoo results are starting to simulate googs? it looks like yahoo is making some changes to the algo.

Yahoo has always tried to blatantly copy Google (If you are talking look and feel) but they can never get it right because of their need to post so many damned ads.
In terms of their SERPS - I must admit they have gotten a bit better lately, I don't know if it is anywhere similar to Google for my SERPS that I care about, in fact I actually do better in Yahoo for the most part.
Starting LEC 7 soon but it won't be called LEC 7 - LEC 2012 coming soon!
I do better in Y than G for some terms and better in G for others. I don't see a correlation.

I always do better in Y. However, since G has made some changes I seem to be doing better.
I've always had better success in Y but do see many correlations in particular keywords for Google such as dallas condos for sale, dallas lofts for sale, with minor flucations in SERP. I have noticed if I'm in top 10 for certain keywod in google I'm almost always in better top 10 position for yahoo.

I have one site that does well in yahoo, and one that does well in google. one site has no content but is 5 years old, the other site is loaded and on a 2-year-old domain. I get the bases covered, i guess.

Gregharaksin,
If you don't mind, which site does better in Y? The one with no content and is 5 years old?
Search www.NewHomesSection.com for information about green homes, home builders, and housing information.
the site with no content, but has age, does do better for 'city' real estate on yahoo. 1st page.
however, i made some pages on my new site, that have 'city' real estate in the URL and they have been making huge leaps forward -- also onto the 1st page.
It depends on the search phrase, but my new REW site has been coming up quickly. Again, it is on a 2-yr old domain.
so, to answer your question...the older site does better on yahoo and sometimes on google , but for how long?
type 'fullerton pool homes' on yahoo and i am #1,2,3. does that mean anything? don't know, i'm still trying to figure out how people search.
type in 'fullerton pool homes' on google and the old site comes up #2, the new site is....somewhere....maybe.
hope that helps. it's one of those 'it depends' answers
