    Thumbs up Cheating MSN!!

Hey Guys, There has been a thread on this guy a couple weeks ago. He has about 10-15 different URL's out there targeting different key words. The thing is, it's the same website. Go to msn and type" downtown san diego real estate" he's #1. www.downtownsandiegorealestate.org
then type" san diego mls" #1 www.mysandiegomls.net
    #3 www.sandiegomlssearch.net
    and many other keywords.
He's all over the place with msn with different urls.

I know all of you guys would be upset if this guy or others did the same in your areas. So I want to do something about this and need your help! What do you guys think we should do? Should we all email msn or what? If this happens in your area, I will be all on it as well, helping you guys out.
    thanks,
    Mike

    Or http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?F...ch+engine+spam
I see Resale Broker's Blog is in that search

I think I entered that information when we were posting in the first thread.

will any of that really work for "msn"? I pretty much just saw yahoo and google..
I did (a while back) tell MSN about it when I first noticed it via the "Not happy with the results? - tell us here" thing towards the bottom of the results page.

I know time will eventually drop him out, but it would be nice if the could implement something to prevent something so rediculous.... it is really funny what he has going.

Anyhow, thank you for the responces guys!

    anyone else? more are welcomed...

I spoke with the webmaster today who built these sites. He said what he is doing is perfectly fine and suggests that everyone should do it. He does not see, what he is doing is wrong and unethical. He then hung up on me. Boy what a good guy.

Didn't spend a whole lot of time looking at all of the interior pages but they do seem to be all dup content. The homepages, while they do look very much alike, may not technically classify as dup content. I ran the three urls mentioned and they are at about 50% similar to each other.

    http://www.downtownsandiegorealestate. org/ is 52.212302560581% percentage similar to http://www.mysandiegomls. net/

    http://www.sandiegomlssearch. net/ is 50.369980596573% percentage similar to http://www.mysandiegomls. net/

    http://www.sandiegomlssearch. net/ is 53.29476268963% percentage similar to http://www.downtownsandiegorealestate. org/

To help out my fellow REW members, I filled out the report form that SanDiego provided the link for. Good Luck guys, hope it helps.

    Thanks! Much Apprecaited...
they may NOT be dup content only due to the randomizing RSS threads he has under all his links, that gives it enought to make the pages seem different to SE's while the same to us....He has SO many of them, they take probably close to 50% of the text in the page... Yet they are irrelevant to "san diego real estate"...lol...

Here some from one of the sites today:

"Ms. Sinema Goes to Phoenix Representative Kyrsten Sinema (D-Phoenix) wraps up her first week as an elected official at the state capitol today. While lawmakers are likely to debate weighty issues like gay marriage, state land trust reform and paying for all day kindergarten, Sinema is among a small handful of newly minted lawmakers in Phoenix still trying to find their way around the capitol. " - from his site: downtownsandiegorealestate .org
    ------
Last I recall Phoenix was about 5 hours away

If msn is the only place that he's doing well I wouldn't worry about it...at least for right now. MSN only brings in a very small amount of traffic compared to google and yahoo.
Yahoo and google have very good dupe detectors and may even get past the rss feeds and see the page as a dupe.....then he will be banned. :d

Although people like this get me very irritated....espeially being so cavalier about it! Let me see what I can think of

If he wanted three web sites that's ok...but make them unique and useful....and put in 3x the effort it takes to make one site rank well.
