Can I take the Real Estate Exam online?

I would like to know if anyone can tell me if I can take the real estate exam online. If I can, is the test good in only one state? I am asking because when I lived in the U.S. I was never in the real estate business and when I go back I am planning on it. I guess if you are reading this and would like to recruit me to your state or company in advance here is my SQUIDOO page (Thanks Smuck!). We are not sure if we want to return to the DC area - my wife wants to but I would like a warmer climate ;-)

You can be licensed in more than one state. but i believe that each state has it's own exam.

In CA, you can't take the exam online.

I am not aware of any state that allows the final exam to be completed online.

You can take the preliminary tests and the classes, but I know of none that allow it online.

I don't think you will be able to take it online, but if the testing center has a location near you it could be possible to take it there.

You can't do it online for Nevada or Illinois. (Of course, Illinois does not apply since it does not fall into the "warmer" climate.)

I am actually from Chicago and I would'nt mind owning a home there someday.
But only if it was my second home (to avoid those harsh winters) and I have enough money to own a nice boat on Lake Michigan!

The harsh winters are only 4 months out of the year. And those four months are a great time to sell real estate in Las Vegas and I assume areas of Arizona/Florida.
