I've been running this by several people lately and wanted to get some additional input:
Since I no longer engage in pure link exchange, I'm considering offering the following:
- Article Exchange - A direct link from within an article on one of our pages to a relative article on another site and mutual exchange of these article links i.e. a direct quote from within another sites article.
- Full Article Exchange - A complete and unique article with links located on another website on a unique page for that article.
- Content Exchange - Inline content fragment of a contributing article on our site and a mutual exchange of content of this type as well. i.e. an extracted paragraph from an article with a link to the actual article
What I'm attempting to do is provide additional content and authoritative links without engaging in actual link exchanges.
My concern is this: Even when articles are exchanged between sites, there is still a level of link exchange occuring. Is this type of exchange acceptable and not considered actual link exchange?
Comments or suggestions?
