Default RETS - Free MLS search on website for Realtors

I give up trying to develop this database interface. Has anybody used this? It's free if you can get it to work (if you are a Realtor)

RETS is a better way because it is a standard, but few MLSs offer it as an option. If your MLS does then you should look into it.

    Angela:

Since 1999 we have been supplying the MLS data to Real Estate agents and brokers for inclusion in to their web sites. As it happens the MTRMLS is one of 54 MLS's that we work with.
If we can be of help streamlining the process please let me know.

RETS (Real Estate Transaction Standards) was originally supposed to be a standard data set for MLS's to follow. Though MLS data is still a long way from 'standard' these standards have helped. Another benefit of RETS was the ability to index incremental data loads throughout the day, as often as every 15 minutes. In markets where RETS is available we do indeed use RETS and update data nearly in real time.

Well, my stupid server is having a problem with PHP so I signed up with namesecure web hosting to see if I can get the "Retriever" program running, but now I have problems with name secure!

    I can't win.

Angela - I understand that the link you mention works very slowly and only with about 10% of RETS servers currently in use. Every Server is unique in it's login process, data acquisition, and layout.

I don't get it... what is SOAP? The stuff made like bar? Or maybe the bottle variety.
