Great Idea and I love the enthusiasm and sharing, this is exactly the kind of stuff and you are exactly the kind of member that make this place great.

    Thanks for putting it together.
Yes I have considered that and I believe that most people will disregrard the link request. Why do I think that? A friend of mine (Al from awddesign) made many open realty templates available for free download and asked that people using them make a small donation to open realty. With over 2000 downloads not one person has yet to make a donation. Sad, isn't it?

In a previous post I said I thought that there was no interest in the templates. I am making one template available for download, anyone interested can request the template at: http://cssdesignmagic.com/free-resources.html

Very cool. I am going to check it out. I have an AA template site and have put up almost two hundred custom pages. It is a PIA to make format changes without CSS and I'm not that knowledgeable about it. Been changing the pages over manually so I need to upgrade to CSS.

I think of a template as a shell or container for the content. I design the shell with css and xhtml so when I want to change the design all I do is change the css file and maybe a little of the xhtml. Depending on the size of the site, I load the content dynamically from a database or from files. With a little creativity and an .haccess file I transpose the dynamic urls into user and search engine static urls.

I am free to use any html editor to format the content files but I prefer NoteTab Pro and sometimes NVU. NVU is free and NoteTab has a free lite version. I use the former to format tables.

The major advantage of this system is complete control over my site. No lock in or tie in to any commercial product.
