    Has anybody tried using Ingenio?

It is similar to Pay-Per-Click but it is Pay-Per-Call. I'm thinking that this might be a better way to go. If you are using the Pay-Per-Click you never know who is clicking on your link (probably other agents half the time). With this system you only pay for each call that is connected to you. Most of my target areas are $2 per connected call. If someone picks up the phone to call you I think they would be a better lead then someone just clicking around on your website.

Anybody had any good/bad results with this company or similar companies?

I certainly like the idea, however have never used them - The only thing I would question at this point is the validity of the leads - if they are someone in your area actually looking for a Realtor, then $2 per call is a steal!

Apparently, you are paying for placement online yellow page directories like yellowbook.com, aol search directory, mapquest.com, etc.

I'm assuming the calls could be from anywhere.

It sounds good, but the the same thing can happen here...(other realtors calling) they could use restricted on their phone or an office phone. However, not as likely as its more trouble. It'll be interesting to see how this works.

Has not worked that great for us (actually worthless!).. plus they call an 866 number redirected to your number, so they never know your actual number. Plus, if a caller "hangs-up", you still get charged. Most calls we have received are mysteriously $10.01 a call and are usually bogus, hang-ups or some solicitor. We have probably received 8-10 calls in 1.5 years. The good news should you use it is that 866 number is call capture so you get the callers phone number, so you have that.

Thanks for the post as a reminder for us to cancel. Like any service.. it may work for some, not for others.
