    Default Importing Leads

Does/will the new lead management system include a basic utility to import leads from other systems/formats?

A standardized comma delimited file import tool would be nice. It would be up to the client to format the file to the REW standard layout, and we would only need to know the column names that would be required.

Hadn't given it any thought - But I could certainly build the utility, I would probably make the format excel so that the less techie types could take a shot at creating their upload file.

Not everyone has, wants or needs Excel. Excel has the ability to export to CSV format, as do a number of other lead management systems I am aware of. Excel users can create the file in normal XLS/XLW format, and then export to CSV for the utility. Others can create the file in CSV format with whatever text editor they may have, or can export it from their current lead management system. As long as they can do a simple text edit, they can then simply change the column names in the first record of their CSV file to whatever the REW import utility needs.

I 2nd the recommendation for an import tool and use CSV versus Excel.
