Default Which Real Estate social networking sites are you getting traffic from?

There has been some discussion about social networking sites and the potential benefits, but which ones are referring the most customers to your website for those of you participating in multiple networks?

hard to tell, but only one for sure is activerain, I seem to get most activity from this site, including employment inquiries, buyer/seller inquiries, and random misc. inquiries.

I just checked my analytics account looking to pull some raw data, but I don't even see referrals from social networking sites pulling top 10 from traffic sources.

I would imagine that you would get some good visitor traffic from localism/activerain if you posted there frequently.

When I was at it; posting in local real estate forums really helped pull some hits as well.

I sell Houston homes and write at this blog dedicated to Real Estate Technology for agents. I originally created this Houston Real Estate site and switched to REW - awesome decision.

AR is the only one so far I'm getting any traffic at all from. It's not much and probably mostly agent traffic.

But I'm also not that active on the others with only 1 post a month on these.

I get a lot of traffic from AR and other RE forums, but who cares. I have never and doubt I ever will sell a home to an agent. I have found that my best bet is to plug into other local communities. I use Meetup and Biznik, from those I am able to actually get out there and meet new people face to face. I also try to get out there on other Seattle Specific Blogs and Sites, this way I have the opportunity to attract real buyers.

I do love the google juice I get from REforums and AR.

Jonny - a properly targeted blog post at REW Blogs, or AR - is going to rank very highly for coveted search terms that "consumers" not agents are typing in - thus giving you exposure to an audience that WILL buy or list homes through you.

Ryan Ward is a prime example, he has made many contacts via his blogging efforts - Benjamin Donna as well - it all depends on what you blog about, and how you target your audience.

Besides REW, I like city-data.com quite a bit. You have to stay really active, but it's a great place to provide good advice & get very relevant traffic (and leads) from. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to invest in it right now.

While I do not have as much time as i would like, my favorite would be REW. It ranks the best and I have used it to rank well and make a point to someone when needed.

Quite a while back I used it to rank for a "Louisville condo" related kw and I was able to drive a lead to one of our agents using it. Unfortunately, I have not been as diligent as i was at the beginning in putting that type of material together.

Jonny--I don't use AR much primarily because the audience is other agents and the blog posts don't tend to rank as well as REW.

Twitter is now moving up the charts in my book, BUT the time that one would have to spend in Twitter to get a sale versus REW probably tilts the scale pretty widely in REW's as far as I am concerned.
