Default For Print Advertising & Marketing

I am looking to settle on one domain to use as my home site (main site) for print advertising and marketing.

My two favorites are phxre.com because it's short ( is it to generic?)

and billscottsdale.com because it has my whole name and my area ( is this to corny? or is it so corny that it just might work?)

    ---any thoughts?

I think the shorter the better. If you can come up with something catchy and quick that will stick in people's heads, I think you have a shot at them remembering the domain name and maybe coming to visit.

    Hey Bill,
Good to finally have a name to go with 2savvy

I'd be inclined to go with your first choice but then again my company site is www.vtws.com I was going to use ww.advertising_marketing_virtual tours_realestatewebsites_seo.com but opted for the shorter version

Seriously though, I think it depends on your marketing plan for the site. If your promoting heavily locally with offline materials then I'd go with the name.

Ok so that was no help at all was it..

    Default I vote for...

billscottsdale is much easier to remember. If I were reading your ad, I could remember that until I got to a computer.

The other url would get misspelled, (at least by me!).

One thought that I wish I had many years ago when buying my url: the exit strategy. After many years of developing a site, getting recognition and success you may want to sell it. Using a common name as bill may limit you to bills or at least male purchasers.

    Just a thought to ponder...

    Hey kkraft,
I never thought about exit strategy when it came to my website name, good thinking.

I have a couple of years to go before I can be a broker. I have a good couple of broker domains and / or names of a real estate company maybe I should use them instead. Or morph them over time.

But I do think I can have some fun marketing the name billscottsdale yea it's a little over the top BUT SO am I ..lol

And if you say it once or twice it is easy to remember or is that just because my name is bill scott?!? hmmm I dunno

    Thumbs up

I would have to agree with kkraft. The smaller named would get misspelled. Rich I got a laugh out of
ww.advertising_marketing_virtual tours_realestatewebsites_seo.com I think you forgot the word Realtor This looks better
    ww.advertising_marketing_virtual tours_realtor_realestatewebsites_seo.com

I am another vote for BillScottsdale.com. It might be a touch cheesy, but it is memorable and it goes towards creating a brand. The only other advice I would offer at this point is to try to develop a unified brand across your print and electronic media. It is my opinion that it lends a bit more professionalism to your image.

Im with BillScottsdale.com as well, I think its branding potential is awesome, and I am a fan of more traditional branding anyways. Unless your an SEO you would never type in www.I-cant-freaking-believe-they-expect-me-to-remember-this.com just because its good for nothing but search engines, and even then tehre are very few benefits that will phase out with time.

I also dont like phxre because unless you were to make it "such" a phenomenon that we had no choice to remember it, then dont do it. TEoma What the hell is that!

    My 2 cents
Starting LEC 7 soon but it won't be called LEC 7 - LEC 2012 coming soon!
