Please Explain Google Rank Issue To Me

Was not sure how to title this so please read on.

I am wondering why if I look at 3 or 4 search phrases on my own PC (Such as the Anchor Text in my sig) My site ranks well, and in fact I have double listings on the first page of google with a deeper page of my site ranking with the main site.

If I look at the same search phrases from another PC in my own house no double listings, and in some cases main site is ranking 2 or 3 positions lower. If I look at the search at my office, the results are different again, no double listings, but main site shows up in yet different places.

What the heck is up with that??? It does not make any sense to me..

When you see the differences mouse over the "cached" link for a search reslut and have a look at the dc that's serving up the results for each.

Could be different DCs and/or Personalized Search.

Any other possibilities. Seems odd that two PCs on the same Internet connection doing the same search at exactly the same time would get different results? The Results differences have been consistent for weeks now as well.

Are you logged in to google?

You are hitting differnet data centers. Different data centers have different results. Use this tool this hits 12 data centers.

Interesting. I was wondering why I kept getting such different results. It seems to make a difference for me if I'm logged in or not. What do you think the average person is more likely to see?
