    Default Trulia?

Has anyone answered questions on Trulia Voices?

Buyers/sellers ask real estate related questions and agents answer them. Seems as though this part of the site hasn't been around to long. Anyone have an opinion on Trulia?

I've answered a question or two. I don't have an opinion one way or the other.

The link references are nofollow - so no link love there - are real consumers at any scale really asking questions? I am not sure.

I didn't know that their links were nofollow.

I'm actually working with two people that I answered questions for from Trulia this past week.

They have a feature that you can be set up on an email when someone asks a question in your area. I set myself up for the whole state of Florida and just look over the questions when they are emailed to me. If I feel I can give a good reply I answer if not I just delete them.

By the way, how do you tell if the links are nofollow?

Here's an example of a question that I answered today:
    looking for 2 bedr/2bath open floorpl/lake/pool home w/3 car garage -Bradenton/Sarasota 250K - 350K
Gated community -3 car garage/- 2000 squ ft living, open -split floorplan,kitchen/lvr/dining combo. breakfast counter, tile floors, pool and lake anybody ? - Sarasota/Bradenton - Tara - Lakewood Ranch? or active adult community

    another quesion:
Is a short sale a good deal?

    and another:
Looking for a Florida coastal hippietown?

I've searched high and low for 'answer' sites that offer link juice. I've only been able to find a few...but, the ones I found...OMG...gold mine!

We should start a thread about question & answer sites, it's a fun way to SEO.

I have answered a few questions, but have pretty much given up on it. For one, I view Trulia as a direct competitor and don't want to support them. I also think my time could be spent better in other places.

I have a plugin for the Firefox web browser that automatically highlights nofollow links in pink. Sorry, can't remember the name of it, but search the forums and I'm sure you can find it.

You can also do it manually. Go to a page in question, click view/page source -- that will give you the html code for the page. Hit contol/f and see if you can find the phrase "nofollow". If it's there, no link love.

Most of the questions I've seen are obviously being asked by real estate agents!

ie, "Is now a good time to buy?"

Thanks for answering my question Michael, I thought it might be in view source.

Michael I think there is one section on Trulia that has mostly agents asking questions but Trulia Voices seems to be mostly buyers/sellers, or at least that's what their profile says.
