    Default range pricing revisted

as you know, many of the homes in the SoCalMLS have a range pricing.

You gave my site the ability to list the range price. Great. Greg likes.
but when there is no range price, it lists the asking price as the low price of the range and as the high price of the range.

for example. if a home is listed in a range of $500,000 - $550,000, it shows up that way on the property's detail page -- $500,000 - $550,000.

but if the home is listed at a flat $550,000, then the asking price gets listed in the detail page as $550,000 - $550,000.

is this fixable, so that when there is not a range price, it just shows the single price?

Hi Greg, I have forwarded this to the appropriate department. Sorry for the delay.

    Hi Greg,
I made that change on the search results and details pages.
When a listing's high- and low-price are equal, it won't display a range (example)
Listings with ranges will continue to show the price ranges (example)

That is a huge improvement for clarity of the price.

By the way, isn't it a requirement that the listing office and the listing agent be displayed on the property page?

Good catch indeed. According to SOCAL:

All listings displayed on an agent or broker web site shall identify the name of the listing firm and the name of the listing agent in a manner designed to easily identify such listing firm and agent.

We had the office already, but not the agent. I added the "Listing Agent" field just now on the details pages. Thanks for pointing that out!

Just trying to make Greg's life a little easier. Once his site gets more exposure with the SERP's and found for MLS #'s and listings, unfortunately there will be some agents who will want to report him for having "their" listings on his web site (or just because his site works), even though it is legit as long as they are displayed property. (Spoken from being a target all the time!)

    Thanks everyone.

I, of course, was wanting to hide the office and agent names at the bottom of the page in small print.
