Default REW Custom IDX v. 3rd party IDX

Hi, this message is for people that had a 3rd party IDX and switched to the REW custom IDX. I am seriously thinking about doing this. I launched my REW template site last month with a 3rd party IDX and am not happy with the IDX at all. I think it's probably worth investing in the REW custom solution, however I would like to hear from those that have had both and if you can attribute increased business to the custom IDX. Any specifics would be greatly appreciated. It is a hefty investment in a bad market condition, but if it will really help with search engines and to have a more user friendly website it is probably worth it. Please advise! Thanks in advance.

Just had to make sure you were a member of an MLS that allows agents data feed access (not all of them do). Looks like your current one is coming from RMLS, so we would be very able to do a custom IDX for you.

I would love to hear what our customers have to saw about going with a custom over a framed/3rd party IDX...

    Here’s my 2 cents…

I have a custom IDX from REW and love it. Now that I have it, I could never go back. I definitely get business as direct result of my IDX, specifically because I’m able to show listings on my community pages.

Now, having said that, when I was first building my site I actually wish I had put more money and time into improving my search engine results and once I had those results, I could have then put the money into a custom IDX. I use mlsfinder from Wolfnet on one of my other sites, and if I couldn’t have a REW solution, Wolfnet has nice product.
