    Default Anchor Link Trends

    Lately I've been seeing anchor text like this pointing to sites:

    Albania property; Argentina property; Australia property; Belize property; Bosnia property; Brazil property; Bulgaria property; Canada property; Canary Islands property; Cape Verde property; Caribbean property; Croatia property; Cyprus property; Czech Rep property; Dubai property; Egypt property; Estonia property; France property; Germany property; Greece property; Hungary property; India property; Italy property; Latvia property; Lithuania property; Macedonia property; Malaysia property; Malta property; Mauritius property; Mexico property; Montenegro property; Morocco property; Panama property; Poland property; Portugal property; Romania property; Serbia property; Slovakia property; South Africa property; Spain property; Sweden property; Switzerland property; Turkey property; UK property; USA property;

    (Yes that is one link) . My question is does it work. Instead of having 20 keywords in one link, is it not better to have 20 links with one keyword?

    That would be keyword stuffing. It does nothing, from what I hear.. and is considered black hat.

    I would prefer to have the 20 links with one keyword phrase each. I rarely use more than 4 words in any anchor tag.

    Think about it from a user's perspective and you'll probably be thinking along the same lines as the search engines...

    Whenever you see a huge block of keywords like that on a website, that's keyword stuffing. I always stumble across real estate websites with tons. For example... the site in the first post of this thread... http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/...yword+stuffing

    So its not ok having a list of links at the bottom of your site pointing to internal pages with anchor text like , "property in ireland", "property in the uk" etc.? Coz I see loads of sites doing that.

    Well, if those links actually lead to pages about property in Ireland and Property in the UK, then I think it would be fine. The titles serve a valid purpose.

    Yeah but what if you work in international property inover 40 countries, would it be ok to have 40 such links in your footer?

    It would look pretty cluttered with 40 links in your footer. I wouldn't recommend it for aesthetic reasons . But I would assume that if the links actually lead to pages that are about what the keywords say... then it would be fine. Anyone else know for sure?
