I know a lot of members here benefit from the REW blogs. So, I would assume that Activerain and Linkedin work the same way. I always hear reports about agents getting leads from their blogs and such.
Is that what you mean?

I always figure the best way to go about blogging is to just write about things that interest you and hopefully people will take an interest. Also, maybe writing about some controversial subjects but not standing firm on either side. I always enjoy reading those types of posts.

I have heard that if you blog specifically to get traffic you are not as successful as when you blog about things you are into... bloggers are an interesting bunch. I have heard posting posts with semi controversial topics does work as well as lists for some reason. I think posts that intertwine what is going on in the news works well too, as long as you can make it relevant to your blog.
I have a client that recently posted a feed of her homes for sale using twitterfeed.com.
It works well because each time you update your blog or your listings, anyone that has subscribed to your twitter account will see that listing immediately.
You write a blog to be informative about a topic that is indirect to selling real estate. You are trying to gain a reader base that hopefully will eventually do business with you because they trust your judgment
