What is the opinion on the allinanchor. Do you switch up anchor text when you hit #1 or do you keep swinging links indefinitley?
Thanks!

both... But if you are Far Superior then switch up links to some of the other KW's you need and link them to internal pages that relate. SEO-GUY calls it "Link Migration"....

There are others more knowedgeable that me but I'll try and answer this. Your allinanchor results are basically a ranking of your anchor text for specific keyphrases that you're targeting compared to other websites. Theory seems to be that with all things being equal the serps should pretty much reflect the allinanchor results. However, when are all things equal? When you factor in age of domain/site, relevance of content, other on page factors, etc., the results won't mirror the allinanchor results. How much does the allinanchor results have to do with serp results? I'm kind of confused on this one. I understand exactly what allinanchor is, but am confused as to how it relates to the search results. For example, we're #4 for allinanchor for our main keyword, but in the actual SERP for that keyword we're #14
I've noticed that for very competitive search terms with millions of results like payday loans or mortgage, the serps and the allianchor results are pretty close. For my main keyword (only 120,000 results) there is no correspondence at all.
Allinanchor results are useful to let you know how your doing compared to your competitors in getting backlinks.
