    Default Free Web Authoring tool

    NVU is Free Web Authoring tool that is much better than FrontPage and rivals DreamWeaver. It generates css/xhtml and best of all it's free.

    NVU is now in its forth 1.0 Preview Release and can be downloaded from http://nvu.com. Learning curve is less than 30 minutes.

    I can't wait to try this but I'll need to set aside a time chunk (more than 30 minutes)! Thanks.
    Money Magazine says that Orland Park real estate is one of the best places to live in the U.S. Check out Homer Glen homes if you're interested in living in the newest Chicago suburb. Next door, Lemont homes are the priciest in the southwest suburbs and have held their value, even appreciating while prices in other areas have gone down.

    It's pretty good for people creating static pages but whenever I try to use php it crashes.

    The line breaks are a little unorthodox for people used to viewing html, eg

    Code:
    <form method="get" action="index.php"
     name="myform"><input
     name="myfield" value="hello world"></form>
    but if you are just starting out it looks great.

    The editor is a basic one. It will not have the bells and whistles that FP or DW has but you will get better code that is standards compliqnt qne without the overhead bloat that the commercial editors have. Best of all the generated code has no propriatary crap that ties you in to them.

    Re: php. NVU has a ways to go. Since I develop all my sites as modules I only use NVU to generate tables I need for tabular data. Otherwise I use NoteTab Pro which gives me 100% control and flexibility for web development.
