Default What to do with e-mail addresses of people who e-mail a friend a listing from your ID

Just wondering what other people do with contact information provided by people who use your idx to e-mail a friend. My thought was to also e-mail them a short hello, or after a few days follow up with a few similar listings.

    What are your thoughts??

I would like a campain like that for a few special ones.

Anyway, I get the impression that these people do not know that I am seeing these e-mail addresses. But then again I could be wrong about that.

so the consensus is to just but in and email them. Treat them like they signed up for a search then??

Is this a standard REW Idx feature that you get to capture the "friends" email as well? I always wanted that.

It seems to be standard, it seems that there are a few people who like to e-mail listings to their friends from my REW IDX

I've never gotten one that I know of but if I get a working email addy I would send a personal initial "hi, your friend XX sent you listings from my site, hope you like it...etc" then put them on the drip.

I disagree. I doubt they think you are collecting their email address and will email them. I would feel like you were eavesdropping on me and would have a bad feeling toward your site.

This is a funny topic. I've been using the "e-mail to a friend" item on my site for two years and 99% of the time I do nothing with them. Every now and then after seeing 10 - 15 e-mails from the same people back and forth I may make mention of things after I meet them in person that make me seem like a mind reader
