    Default Custom REW site Review

So I think it is time to get some feedback on the site that I have been working with Leif, Matt & Cheryl on for the past few months. I will say that it has been a pleasant experience.

Please feel free to review my new site JustinHavre.com

I have about 170 community pages to add this is something that I am working on would like to add it in the next couple of months. I think we all know that we will always be adding or tweaking our sites so your review and opinions are greatly appreciated.

I opened the page in IE and the text is where the photos (slideshow) should be on the home page. Works fine in FF.

Justin has this site been signed off yet? It definitely appears as though some IE testing is still required - did not notice the text issue in IE 7 but there seems to be a weird bug if you scroll have way down the page looking at listings, they sort of "jump" a pixel when you mouse over the view details page.

I really don't like having a full listings snippet on the homepage like that, way to many properties creating way to much scrolling. Linking to quick price ranges is great, and a few listings on the homepage can be a good supporting element for the content but IMHO to much there.

The top links home : about : contact us : blog this font should be increased at least 1 if not 2 sizes. Same with the Not a member and sign up under the member login (Man I am critical of our work here lol)

I will spend some more time on it in a bit -

One thing I will say, is that it is very unique looking and I really like the color scheme - So many of our customers have such a hard time breaking away from being in love with one of our previous designs, it makes it tough to talk them into creating something different that will be just as effective - this design is certainly refreshing - so a big thank you to you, for letting the team create something unique and special for you.

One other quick thing (Sorry) I gotta say the one thing I am not thrilled with is the logo, did we design it for you? It kind of looks phallic in a way, if not phallic it does seem to convey a crooked house (Like from Doctor Suess)

Justin - I really like the overall color scheme and design. Like Morgan said, it is very refreshing. I like the way your drop menu functions at the top of your site. You also have some amazing photos of your area.

The only thing that I don't really like is the length of your homepage. 10 listings just seems like too many for me. I would maybe keep in under 3 if any at all. Overall though, this is a great real estate website.

I would have to agree with ryan except I would have any listings on the index page.

    Morgan,

You got some really good points. I am not sure why the listing snippet was added on the main page but this is an easy fix. I am pretty happy with the colors as well, it is something a little different and I wanted that. As to the logo, I agree that the blue house does not really go well with the colors and we could maybe make it similar to the ones on My Areas or just simply remove it.
Morgan, feel free to have Leif or Cheryl do the changes that you think are suitable. Just have them contact me when it is done. To my knowledge we had wrapped it up and I would imagine that they did the testing of the site.

    Justin,

I like the site. I really like the colors because you don't see many people that can use browns and get away with it. Someone mentioned the logo looking phallic, but I think he might need to take care of that on the side because I would have never thought of that until he mentioned it. =)

Someone else mentioned too much content and scrolling on the home page, but I wouldn't worried about that. As a Realtor who has a background in both Web Design and Internet Marketing, an abundance of content on your site will do nothing but help you. =)

The only thing that I didn't like was the loading time; although, this could be due to my computer being slow. Overall, I would have to say it's one of my favorite REW sites yet.
