    Default New Mls Page

Trying a new template that fits and looks somewhat ok with my mls finder idx. Of course anyone that has wolfnet knows is not the easiest thing to do. Please let me know what you think. http://www.brandonre.com/test6.php

This is actually a challenge with any 3rd party hosted content. You either have to frame, iframe, open an new window, or employ a custom header/footer. For a header/footer example, look at how your WOLFNET IDX is integrated into your KW website - http://www.mlsfinder.com/fl_mfrmls/d...ourkwagent.com. You'll notice that there is no odd scrolling, no being directed to the middle of a page because of how iframes work, and all of your website functionality is available as though IDX were an integrated part of your website. In this implementation, the look and feel elements of your KW site are directly integrated into your WOLFNET IDX search.

There are many advantages of using the custom header/footer implementation including ease of use, consistency with your site, and a better overall user experience that will lead to better leader capture and conversion.

In order to replicate this functionality on your new website template at http://www.brandonre.com/test6.php, you'd need to employ a separate IDX solution from WOLFNET and you'll need some assistance from your website provider to make it come together (it's worth it). You can't use the KW IDX search by WolfNet in this capacity since it's already been built (using custom header/footer) to work specifically with your KW eAgentC site. If you would like more information, you can contact WOLFNET service at 1-866-WOLFNET.

I am not sure why all of a sudden my whole kw template is now showing. I had it where only the idx was visible.

Mac do you work for wolfnet?

I do plan on changing the colors to match each page .

    Thanks for the input

Have you signed the petition www.FreetheMLS.com yet? You are violating their new Code of Ethics by having MLS there.

Brandonre - I do work for WolfNet. I sent you a separate message indicating that if you visit your KW eAgentC site with the WolfNet search and then visit your new template, the custom header and footer will remain visible until your session expires. If you visit again after your session expires or with a different computer or browser, you'll see that the header/footer will disappear. I also added a couple of other suggestions. Thanks.

    Dan,

If you can change the background color of your main site, you can frame it in and you won't notice that it goes outside of the container area.

Change your background color to #fff for your website and it might work. Just an idea...

NY RE Broker - WolfNet is not a member of NAR. As such, we are not technically subject to the Code of Ethics. In any event, we have owned and operated the mlsfinder.com domain name and brand since 1999. We have built the brand and significant associated good will and have never suggested that we are an MLS or directly affiliated with an MLS. We also do not believe that the domain itself is confusing to consumers. This is a tricky issue for NAR members, especially those who have owned and operated their domains containing the term "MLS" for long periods of time. Seems to me that the inclusion of disclaimers and or specific and obvious agent or broker branding on such websites would be sufficient to demonstrate to consumers that such sites are not MLS operated.
