Default Page content disappears in CMS - Cannot edit

In the v2 CMS in dev13.rewdev, I try to edit two of my pages: Southglenn Office Map and Meridian Office Map. The editor opens the pages, the content flashes on the screen for just a second, then disappears! It may have something to do with an IFrame that contains Google map code, but was not an issue in the old editor. This can be verified for the same pages on my production website (url below).

    Hello Ron

The new editor tries to display the contents of the iframe on the edit page. The javascript of the google map seems to be conflicting with the editor. I have put the iframes into snippets and included the snippets on the pages.

This appears to be a conflict with these specific iframes as I was able to iframe google.com without any problems.

Let me know if I can provide you with any more help.

Interesting solution. But I still wonder why it worked fine in the old editor, where it displayed the IFramed content properly, but the new editor chokes.

I am currently having this same issue. I do not know what a snippet is. Guess I'll have to look into this.

Troy - A snippet is something unique to REW Platforms - think of it kind of as an include - You will see a "manage snippets" in the light blue sub bar of V 2.0 - Click it - then click "Add new snippet" on right hand side, or "Create new snippet" in the snippet section.

There are only 2 things to do - give a snippet a name, and paste in the code you want in the snippet.

Once you have given a snippet a name and saved the code - whenever you want to recall that code to a page (Include it) then you just wrap the name of the snippet in number sites #snippetname# and the system knows to pull that code from the snippet library - this can be especially handy if you are dealing with complex javascript that may conflict with wysiwyg editors
