What is your opinion about putting Adsense on a real estate website? Would you be concerned about losing potential customers to a competitor? Does anyone use Adsense on their real estate website now?

I think it is a great idea. I am assuming that your goal is to drive leads from your site....real people who are looking to buy something in the next 14-30 days. If they don't want to jump through the hoops you want them to and they decide instead to click on an Adsense ad, you win. If not, they fill out your form (or whatever) or leave and do nothing. I would rather give them 2 options than one.
Hey Kyle, that is the ONLY reason I don't use Adsense. Being a Realtor that loves to get EVERY lead....I don't like to share unless I am unavailable (like next week.
They say it doesn't help, but I just don't know.

How much can you really make with the ads? They look like crap and cheapen your sites look and level of professionalism IMO. The dollar amount would have to really be worth while to add it to any pages that I cared about, never the home page.

Real estate adsense pays very well. You can make the ads look just like your site. I would rather have the leads, but that is why I brought up the topic. I wanted to find out if people are using Adsense are they still getting leads.?Originally Posted by kensmithkw
That's a little confusing. The threat of people leaving my site is what worries me, but most people don't fill out a form or email me anyhow. I get an average of 450 uniques a day, and about 2-3 leads a day.Originally Posted by chachi
That is how I feel. I could make some decent income off Adsense. Thanks for your answer.Originally Posted by chachi
I have been using adsense for the last 3 months and each month revenue has increased as fresh content has been added and number of visitors has increased. First month income was around 65 dollars, second month broke 150 and this month closing in on 400.... I have not noticed a drop in listings on my site, if anything it has increased.
I am thinking since I have added google adsense to a lot of my pages, I am getting crawled more by google. In Jan I was getting crawled about every 7-10 days, or so it seemed. Now I get crawled by google at least every 48 hours.
So, IMO it works........

Thanks for the input intlisings.
Seems to me one should be results oriented. I would say test, measure results, test, measure results.
I use adSense on site http://www.valuesguide.com/ and still getting leads.Originally Posted by kyle422
