Default Any Search Engine Making a move on Google?

Are there any new search engines that will make a run at google? Yahoo and MSN seem to be the most likely, but google seems to be pulling more and more away from them. Any thoughts?

As of now, I'd say no. There are a lot of them trying. Searchme.com may have a good shot if they're algo is good. I doubt Google is going anywhere anytime soon, but they are losing a lot of key execs.

It seems those google guys are a step or two ahead of the industry. I always hear of new ideas from google on CNBC news. Out of all the SE google seems to have the market. The only yahoo and msn news was the merger....

None that I can think of. If MSN and Yahoo could work out a deal they may have a shot at it but Google is so far ahead now I think it would be quite difficult for anyone else to knock them off of their throne.

There was a lot of discussion about cuil here the middle of last year. Doubt it will be any threat to G. I just searched for real estate websites and the Point2 Agent url shows an REW logo.. One of my site listings has a picture of a crucifix. Perhaps they are just a bit screwed up with their presentation.

I just did a search on Cuil.com for Phoenix Real Estate for fun, and the icon/logo they had next to PhoenixHomes.com is a picture of some lady I've never seen in my life. LMAO

Plus, the results remind me of what they were in Google a few years ago for that KWP.

I need to play around with cuil a little more but I sure wasn't impressed at first glance.
Great Oakland Real Estate Information. Search the MLS for Oakland homes and condos. Berkeley, Piedmont and Alameda too!

Until the other search engines can start to display accurate results, the consumer will stay with Google. Sometimes when searching on Yahoo, it seems that many of the search results are spam sites or garbage.
