Default Better way to create featured listings..

As I get familiar with CMS 2.0 I see a "featured listings" tab where we have to manually enter all the info for our listings, photo's etc as I see it does not auto populate from the MLS number which is a pain. I also see we can't do much in terms of keywords, title, description. So my thinking was to just create a quick page with a snippet to that particular listing (via mls #). Then it is all done and no need to upload all the info on the listing and then we have control over keywords, description, H1, etc etc. This is pretty much what I have been doing with my AA site but not even close how easy and quick it is to do with an REW site or how SEO friendly it will be.

Sure these listings will not be listed under the "featured listings" tab but they are pages that I will have lots of control over and I could always figure out something to do with the featured listings tab - I am thinking just make a snippet for my office listings and viola, the whole featured listings page is done.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks.

Oops I put "bester way" in title - someone change that for me? lol

Thank you for your suggestions Mike. I have been compiling a list, full of great customer feedback. I will be sure to add your suggestion to the list. Often when REW upgrades, we look to our customers and try our best to carry out their needs.

Mike - you actually don't need to use the listings tab at all due to you having a custom IDX - so you DO get to auto populate via the MLS ID - The listings manager for manually entering listings is really only for those customers who do not have a custom IDX, without IDX, there would be no way to connect to the data feed and auto populate listings.

    Hi Rob,

This post got sent to me today - It looks like an older one .... I did change your "Featured Listings" page to pull out listings by agent ID - so no need to enter them anymore.

If you wanted to have a feature that you can add them by MLS #'s we can do that but would require a work order.

    Thank you,
    Aaron
