Default Yahoo Directory Worth The Money?

Just for a bit of fun thought I would do a poll on a topic that has been talked about quiet a lot on here just to see what the results are.

NO...I don't think so. that's pretty close to what I'm paying for hosting of an REW site...money that is much better spent.

yes, I signed up for directory and local, seemed to assist some with building rankings, at the very least will give you additional exposure and a little more traffic

if you site is taking a while to index in yahoo, paid inclusion might be the way to get into their serps. it comes down to urgency.

I purchased inclusion in 2003 for a site and canceled it before the year ended and they never removed my site. Yahoo is so messed up that they dont have time to go into system and remove domains in directory. Maybe I was lucky not sure how it works exactly.

I have read numerous posts around the internet and they seem to be contradictory. Except for one recurring theme that being if you pay once and then stop your link will stay in the directory. When you think about it a one time fee for the chance of new directories linking to you in an effort to begin filling it could be worth the fee. Just my two cents.

Although I havn't signed up for a directory listing but I feal its worth it. It will pick up links from sites that scrape its content.

still wondering if there is any truth in "stop paying and still place" theory. I'm willing to pay the annual fee...currently #1 for city real estate in my market. I would say still definetely worth the small fee for return. Quick glance at stats today shows yahoo still accounts for 20-30% of visits to one of my sites, with 1000/day average, that is at least 200-300/day from yahoo search
