    Default Email Follow up

Let me ask this: If someone registers with just an email address and you put them on a contact plan, is it better to inundate with a daily or maybe 3-5 times a week contact or better to spread it out.

Also, have you had better results with a certain style or subject line?

To me, once a week is good.

If you contatct a lead daily you'll scare them off (and in my opinion that's spam), unless the contact requests new listings to be e-mailed to them when they hit the market.

If your talking about sending out "buyers campaign" e-mails, I'd go with once a week for a month, then every 2 weeks.

It would depend on te lead and how much info you got on them when the registered. If they are serious, they wont mind an email from you more often if it is useful. If they are tire kickers, then you didnt need them anyway. You want to focus on the 30-60 and cradle the 90+

But the more serious the lead, wouldn't that indicate more follow up quickly? And since we don't know which are VERY serious...well....

I agree with Sam Chapman on the once a week contact. Make sure that your subject line captures your prospective clients' attention. Something that would entice them to open and read your email.

We set all our leads up in our listings update program so whether or not they give us a phone number they are getting all the listing updates. Then we add our no/bad phone number drip that is sent out to convert them to call us. As I've mentioned in other posts, 25% of our sales come from leads with no phone numbers. These people are not ready to be contacted and will give you their number when they are ready. My partner in my 100MPH Marketing Software company was one of those leads. He was in my system for 4 months before he finally contacted me.

It depends on how the lead was generated. If you paid for the lead and the lead is exclusive, I would hit them hard right away. If the lead was generated from a third party source and made available to many others as well, then a few contacts a week is sufficient. Those leads are being hit many times over by multiple people and their email box is probably exploding with offers.
