Default Changing links on old blog posts???

I have a new url/web site going live soon and no sure what to do with all my old blog posts on Active Rain, Blogger etc. Do I just delete all the blog posts and rewrite them all over again or do I just go back and change the links (for the blogs that I wrote which had links to various pages of my old site, etc) to the new url? Not sure which is the best option.

    Thanks.

Mike - Are you setting up a wordpress blog for your new domain name or something entirely different? I've done it in the past, but I'm very cautious in doing it to avoid duplicate material. I simply saved the post to a file, deleted post from old site, let some time go by and then posted to my new site. You might want to just copy all of your posts to a file, delete your AR, etc accounts, and you will have material to add to your new blog over time. Just make sure you delete all those old posts and over time you should be fine.

Not wordpress, right now I am using AR and Blogger and will soon have a REW blog integrated into my site to go live soon. An example of what I want to do is - I write blogs about various listings, areas, subdivisions, etc and then I put a link in the body of the blog post to one of the pages on my web site that corresponds to what I wrote about in the blog. So all I am concerned about is changing the link URL to the new site with the corresponding page so no duplicate content but I want to input the correct URL's for my various posts. Otherwise they will link to no where as the old web site is gone. Hope that makes sense.

The correct answer is change your links to point to the new files

BTW Jerry, I think the post might have been a bit muddy, what Mike meant was, he has hyperlinks in previously written blog posts to internal pages of an advanced access site, he is moving to an REW site, so naturally new filenames, so the question: What to do about all those links pointing to pages that will no longer exist or rather have a new filename -

Morgan - Ok, now I see what Mike is trying to accomplish. I was little worried about any possibility of a dup problem. I think you should see good results over the long haul. thanks guys...good luck Mike.
