Where do I write notes about a lead?

I am confused as I see "notes" and I see another tab named "edit"

The notes - is that where I make notes to myself or is that a note that is sent to the lead? Reason I ask is that when I click notes it shows the auto email response I have set up for them after IDX registration. Then I can write a note under that to myself that tells me how they found my site, what they searched for online and what towns, houses, etc they searched on the IDX.

Is this the appropriate place for notes to myself? I am concerned because it shows the email that the system sent the lead as well as my note so I want to make sure that note is not sent to the lead.

Also can I delete the "note" it shows which basically just shows the email that is sent to them but I already know what email is sent because I was the one who set it up. Just curious what would happen if I deleted that "note" just to have less clutter in the notes section for myself.

Hey Mike,

The notes section is exactly where you would write notes for yourself to keep. You will notice that you can delete the emails that are posted or any other notes you post. What you post here will not be sent to the client, it's just for your records Many people send individual emails that are not auto responses and find it helpful that those emails are recorded. If you would would like to disable this feature, please post your request in the work orders forum.
