Same Article Submitted 50 Times-Duplicate Content?

Ken I respect your opinions on this topic and just choose to disagree with you in several aspects. Let's leave it at that. I have been very successful with SEO and consider Article Writing a backbone of my strategy, but perhaps I use it for different reasons than you do. Again, my purpose here is to give suggestions to the OP, not argue or start a "whos e-penis is bigger" contest. So, I'm glad you're successful and are happy with what's working for you and I'll leave you to it.

Mark - I use ArticleSubmitter Pro for my submissions - at least that's one area where Ken and I will probably agree (because he's one of the people who, I believe, created the program). It's not free for the pro version but it makes it a lot easier to submit to thousands of article directories. It's a good program and they do a fairly good job of snipping out the malware sites between updates, but I'd keep your virus software running just in case. I think there are a few nasty ones still in there although I removed them from my submission list quite a while ago.

I'm just getting started with that program, can you tell me which ones you eliminated so I don't get any virus? Ken do you own that company?

Wish I could Mark - I just removed them from my "Favorites" list along with all the others that have PHP errors, those that never respond to my registration requests etc. There were 1-2 sites that tried to install malware about a year ago but were removed from the submission list. Then there was another one that either got added or bought out by someone who started doing that junk - not sure if its been removed from the list or not - I removed it myself so I can't even remember which one it was.

Man, this is a lot of info. I have been using the unique article wizard to spin my articles and then submit them, and I have seen my backlinks grow as i have done it, I need to check out some of these sites and programs because it would be a lot easier to write one qaulity article and submit to all these sites

I've checked our Google links (webmaster account) several times and they count duplicate content links. I don't know how powerful all the links are but I do know that the same article shows up in our Google webmaster link profile.

If my webmaster account shows it, it's enough proof for me.

Some dupes do get through the filter - a good number don't. I suspect but can't verify that perhaps it's because of the way some article sites present your article along with other content - they can perhaps make G feel there's enough original content not to trip the filter (since it's not just the article body that G-bot sees but other structural elements, images, other on-page text etc.) I would guess also that the filter isn't infallable and some get through anyways.

Can anyone provide insight into the "longevity" of the links you get from identical article submissions to a number of sites?

I've always seen a big initial spike which recessess significantly after about 5-8 months. Are others experiencing the same thing?
