Property Tax Adjustment

Hi, I'm new here. I am trying to apply for Property Tax Adjustment for my house and i need at least 3 references for recently sold houses in my neighborhood. I checked zillow but I am not seeing the most recent sales that I know happened in my neighborhood. I need info on sales price and square footage. Can somebody recommend a web site where I can get such info? Also do you guys have any advise in going thru my application. I hope I am not being rude or selfishly intruding into this web site, if I am, moderator please delete this inquiry. Thanks.

The easiest way to get information on closed sales is to talk with a real estate agent in your neighborhood. They would have access to this information. You could also hire an appraiser to do an appraisal for tax appeal purposes.

There may be websites that have the information for your area, but it would be helpful for you to state where you are located, because things are done differently throughout the country.

I have an old client that wanted to have his home reassessed, and this county told him that Zillow was not an acceptable source.
So, he then came to me. Of course he wanted me to pull up uncomparables for $150,000 less than his value.
Anyway, it only takes 5 minutes. call up a real estate agent/friend and ask for the favor.
