    Default Auto Responders

How many of you use auto responders when a user registers on your site? Does having a link in the message help you drive users back again?

I use one for some of my sites...it pretty much thanks them for visiting...though it would be a good idea to list "most recent posts" or "you might like this" in it...I wonder why more people don't do that?

I don't use auto responders, instead use a thank you page. I had an issue once where my responder went berserk and all heck broke loose. I stopped using it then and started with the thank you page and a very prompt follow up call.

I send each person who registers on my website 1 email that is not an auto responder email. I get much better results. People know when it is an auto responder message.

I personally like the Thank You for signing up autoresponder but I would be very open to other peoples ideas.

Yes. Especially if it captures the users' interest.

I hate auto-responders. I might be forced to use one though, next month when I'm gone for 4 days.

    Thank You page sounds ok.

I have created several sites in many different fields and I highly recommend auto responders.

I always include a link under my sig in my auto responder emails. I like to set up holiday messages and newsletters that also contain links back to my sites.
