We utilize auto responders (via AWeber) on all of our websites. We have found it to be an excellent tool for delivering content on preset schedule (ie; week 1 = How to Choose a Neighborhood, week 2 = How to Choose a Home, etc.)

Can anybody provide data of their lead conversion before and after implementing an auto-responders to registered visitors?

One word of advice on drip campaigns aside from keeping them short and simple, don't have to many. If you are sending your leads listing updates, then you don't need a ton of drips. I made a very good living off only sending out a newsletter once a month and a just checking in letter every 6 weeks.
Our drips are a little more involved now, especially for our leads that do not provide a phone number. But even these are kept to a minimum but has helped us convert. 25% of our sales come from leads with no phone numbers...about 75 last year.
I have a couple of sites I'm signed up on that I receive a drip every few days and they are books. I actually printed one out once and it was three pages....I just had to see. Don't do that!

I'm surprised more people are not using autoresponders.
I have autoresponders setup for all my websites and visitors. Right now, I have about 7,500 people setup on one thing or the other, whether it be investors, buyers, sellers, property management clients, renters.
Very powerful. I started with just a few basic responses, but I try to dedicate myself a few hours each week to add a few extra responses into my autoresponders. Most of mine now have enough content that they get dripped on every 10-20 days for periods of up to 3 years.
An example of my results. I recently sent an email to my list with a few investment properties for sale. We sold two properties and two people replied back that I didn't even know had their homes listed, and we got the listing after they expired...
Aweber is good as well as icontact(I have accounts on both).
From my experience, 95% of people don't keep in contact with their clients enough, so I would not worry about sending them to many emails.

Auto Responders are a must have in my opinion. I use them even to email the users a few pre qualifying questions when they inquire about a property.

Most of my registrations are from outside of Austin so I send out a personal email using the following text as quickly as I can:
"I just saw that you registered on my website to look at Austin area homes. Seeing that your area code indicates that you are not in Central Texas, I will subscribe you to my monthly e-newsletter. It is more about getting to know Austin than about real estate. I hope that is OK with you. As you continue to look at properties in and around Austin, don’t hesitate to call or email with questions.
Best Regards,"
That gets them on an 18 month drip campaign. I have had more responses from that than from calling or any other email. Very few unsubscribe.
Hi Sam, just used your email on 3 leads this week and got a response from 2 of them right away (positive too). Good stuff and thanks for sharing.
