If anyone is using Wolfnet/mlsfinder, give them a call at 612.342.0088 - their servers have been down since midnight CST, and we're all losing leads/money.

They're back up...I wonder how much money was lost on that 8 hour snaffu?
Eric, thank you for bringing this to attention. I am with WolfNet/mlsfinder and can give you some insight into what occurred. Our servers were not down per se, but it is certainly understandable why someone would think they may have been. What happened is that the network where we host our servers had router issues before any requests could reach our equipment. Our logs show this was for 35 minutes this morning where most traffic was not reaching us, and thankfully not all night. I'd be speculating as to why you were unable to reach our systems for any longer than that as our logs show very normal traffic during the rest of the night and morning.
All of our equipment is load balanced, and clustered for automatic failover, and fully monitored with an extensive notification and escalation policy. (Even the load balancers themselves have live backups.) This won't guarantee 100% uptime, but we do go well over 99%. On the network we use, this is just the second time in over 7 years there that such an issue has occurred. Yes, two times too many, but with a well over 99.999% uptime it is among the best.
My personal apology for the downtime and any disruptions that may have resulted from it.
Hey Heron -
Thanks for the response. I received an email from a colleague @ midnight (while I was sleeping) letting me know that my search was down, and describing the exact problem that I found when I checked that morning at 8AM. That's why I assumed that it was an 8 hour problem. Sorry if I was incorrect.
