Default Looking to Change Real Estate Hosting Site

    Hey,

I am new here... I am having problems with Homes.com (my host) for my website... I can't upload any pictures and clients can not see any pictures. They have had this problem since Friday of last week... This is just unacceptable to me.

Anyone have any good ideas for Real Estate web hosting?... I could make it myself I suppose... I do like how Homes.com send our listings to Yaho Real Estate. Anyone know if any other hosts do that sort of thing?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

    Matt

can you not send it to yahoo real estate yourself? Also how much value is there in the listing verses actually having a site that you can customize the way you want to better increase your conversion etc? Sorry I am not a fan of homes.com sites they are way to limiting and as you said, their service is not that great.

    Hi Webmaster.

    Thanks for the response.

I don't really know about added value... I have a bunch of other websites to support my main one... I don't know if I can send them myself to Yahoo, I will have to look into that...

My other concern, I want to have a monkey (not really) putting the listings online eventually. Homes.com had an easy interface to fill out to make the listing... Can I do something similar to that if I made my own website? Like a browser-based upload of listings... I'm sure I can, I just don't want to buy $3000 worth of software to do it. As you can see, I haven't really looked into that aspect just yet...

    Thanks for any more responses!

    Hi Matt,

The webmaster is SEO-Guy, who happens to have a hosting serving with a CMS program. :-) I am his newest client, a real estate broker, not his employee so I am free to blow his horn in this one :-) Thanks for prompt service guys.

    Matt,

    Welcome to REW.

I have had Advanced Access for years and am very happy with them. I had them before I ever knew about Morgan (www.SEO-Guy.com).

It is true, Morgan does have his own website solutions for real estate agents for custom sites and he is working on a template service too. Though I'm not sure if that is up and running yet. We'll let him tell you about that. One thing I can say is that I really like the design of his custom sites, especially this one in my market and my competitor no less, www.JimMessenger.com. Really clean, uses a blue jean effect for background whichs fits in nicely here in the Sonoran Deserts of Arizona.

For the money, I love my Advanced Access sites, there are many others here with AA sites too. But, this new template solution Morgan is working on should be really neat. I am waiting to see the final product myself...

Any input on the new templated sites you are working on Morgan?
