    Default blog preview

When I start a blog and save it on the REW site, it gives me a preview, which is cool.

When I make changes I can't seem to get it to preview like before. Any suggestions on what I am doing so I don't get that same preview pane as the first time? Thanks

Hmmm. Odd. I have never had a preview before submitting a blog post. Is there a chance you were hitting "Save" rather than "Save & Publish"?

Either way, I will get someone on it to see if there is some sort of problem.

Maybe I am doing some thing wrong here( nothing new there) but I am not sure if I should hit save when I switch from content to advanced. I do as I am not sure if switching will lose the data.

I usually hit save only and it gives me a preview of the article. http://www.propertyinsantacruz.com/s...ate-blog/?p=27

I get weird formatting for reasons unknown such as above. In the preview it gives me a chance to see that. If I can make changes and correct it( which I couldn't) it looks a bit screwy.

With the preview, you can see it as it will display, but only once.I just wondered how to get it to display more than once. Thanks

    Morning Gregg,

On REW Blogs, you are fine to switch between the tabs, the fields will not ruin your changes. Just make sure that you do hit save before you leave the form.

When you successfully create a new blog entry, the form redirects to your newly created post. I've updated the edit form to work the same way and redirect you to the updated blog entry.

On your Wordpress blog, the formatting issues can be dealt with on the Customer Support Forums. A designer can look at the problem and help get it resolved. For more information on Wordpress, see: http://wordpress.org/support/

    Have a great day,
hi Michael, so if I understand you, i will see the preview when I hit save? I think that is helpful to be able to see what the finished product will look like before posting. Glad to know I can switch without saving. I dont' think that is the case with WP though.

On my personal REW on site WP blog, I found that pasting from word, that some code came over that screwed up the formatting. No reason I could see why it did that, but when I took out the code( and I didn't paste in code) it seemed to work fine. So thanks for the tip on that.

Just a heads up to all reading this, REW Staff does not provide free support for WP blogs -
Starting LEC 7 soon but it won't be called LEC 7 - LEC 2012 coming soon!

yes, I know, the question was on the REW post I made and how that preview only happened the first time on the Save. I find it helpful to be able to look at the finished product and if all looks good, post it. As it was to view the finished product, I had to post then modify if that something didn't look right.
