Real Estate Webmasters (REW) has made its mark in Austin, Texas. I found REW when I Google'd "Austin Real Estate" and found that the top search results were firms hosted by REW. As with several other Austin realtors before and after me, I chose to join the ranks by having REW create my website www.RegentPG.com. I began working with REW in August of 2007 and have been working with REW ever since that time. I should have introduced myself a long time ago.
I've been in the real estate business in Austin, TX since graduating college in 1998. My first job was working as a leasing agent and development assistant for a retail developer called Weston Companies in Austin. I learned the commercial real estate business during the 1st three years of my career with them. My focus was helping find sites for retail development, leasing our retail product, marketing our product, and finding tenants/clients to represent on finding space.
My next real estate job following Weston was with United Systems Integrators Corporation, a corporate real estate firm based in Stamford, CT. They represented Fortune 500 firms by managing all of their real estate requirements nationally. They would put associates on-site at the client headquarters including transaction managers, project managers for construction, designers, lease administrators, and even attorney's. My job was to dispose of high value assets that we no longer needed by our clients. I primarily worked with Computer Sciences Corporation, RBC Dain Rauscher, GMAC Mortgage, and United Technologies helping dispose of mostly office and industrial space. This would involve either selling, leasing or subleasing properties with a value of $2M+. I was physically located on-site in the Computer Sciences Corporation building in downtown Austin that is now owned by Silicon Labs located next to the new Austin City Hall, although I was doing deals all over the country. I worked on 2.5 million square feet while working at USI including office, industrial, residential and land.
Johnson Controls (JCI), a Fortune 70 firm based in Milwaukee, purchased USI in 2005 and merged the company with their facilities management group. JCI has (or had) the world's largest facilities management company representing corporations (not investor/landlords) globally. At JCI I was VP Sales/Marketing responsible for marketing and sales of our Global Real Estate and Facilities group to corporations located in Texas and surrounding states. I had the privelege of not only selling our services, but also had the privelege of organizing integrated real estate services teams to serve our customers. I also continued working on some real estate transactions, but mostly focused on the bigger picture of securing national real estate and facilities service contracts. I did this for two years prior to leaving and starting Regent Property Group.
Regent Property Group was formed to serve business and community peers in Austin Texas by providing a high level of customer service for both residential and commercial real estate services. I use best practices learned in corporate and commercial real estate and apply those to my day-to-day real estate services business. This generally means more consistency of service and a higher level of reliability and accountability than provided to the average consumer.
While I feel that I have a unique background and skill set, I understand that I will never be the master of the real estate universe. I enjoy learning from other real estate professionals and seek guidance and input every chance I get. With that said, I would certainly appreciate any questions or comments regarding myself, my background and my company from anyone who is interested in communicating with me. Thank you for taking the time to read my introduction.
