Thread: Featured Listings & Featured Property box

Default Featured Listings & Featured Property box

I didn't know if this should go in "CMS2" or "Bug reporting", but here goes:

One of the challenges of CMS2 seems to be that it does not sort listings according to Status, i.e. when a listing changes from Active to Pending to Sold, it does not effect it's position in the featured listings, which sort homes only by price. This is confusing to website visitors.

I had a "Featured Property" box added to the Home page of the site, which shows one of my listings each time someone visits. This has compounded the problem - Since CMS2 does not recognize any difference between "Active", "Pending" or "sold" listings, the featured property brings up listings that were sold months ago and presents them on the home page as if they were active listings.

Is this a "Bug" only with my site? If so, can you please fix this bug?

If this is the normal operation of CMS2, can you please include this issue in future upgrades to CMS2. The site is davishomes2sell dot com.

    Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately, the featured listings box is not designed to exclude Sold listings by default - you'll need to post a work order. It shouldn't take more than half an hour.

    Hello Cal

The normal operation of the CMS is to sort the listings by price and to display all the listings it has. You would need to ask Morgan for the final word, but I don't think we are planning to change this.

Of course you can always request custom programming from your salesman or the work orders forum to have the default behavior changed.

Your featured listings box is custom programming and will need a work order to have it changed.
