Default google webmaster tool external links showing nofollow links

I just checked google webmaster tools for my external links to my site and saw a whole list of links incoming from thread posts on realestatewebmasters forums. I thought it was strange becuase I know that forum users here must contribute more than 300 posts before the NOFOLLOW rule is removed and I only have about 40 posts so far. Next, I checked the source code on the threads that showed up as incoming links in G webmaster tools and saw the Nofollow rule was in place everywhere my website was mentioned. So, my question is this? Does google webmasters tool ignore the nofollow rule and post your links regardless of the setting. I thought nofollow meant google ignored your link completely. If this incoming link list has nothing to do with the links that affect your PR or SERPs, why should i bother checking it?

Google Webmaster Tools reports all of the links it finds for your site, not just links that pass juice.

Thanks for the link to the SE journal. Since we know google can recognize the Nofollow links because they show up in webmaster tools, is there any thoeries that Google results might still be influenced by those nofollow links. I mean, they are links and Google found them.

Also, are there any online tools that list only your DOfollow links from external sites? it would be nice to keep track of those links if they are the only ones that affect search ranking.

Excellent questions, also on the forum here is it only the links above 300 that are loose the no follow or do they all lose the no follow?

I think I read in another post that all 300 will have the nofollow taken off. So it made a big difference for them.

Gosh I need to get to my 300 and keep putting it off. I as well heard that all 300 hundred will contribute.

Yes, you really have to make a commitment to this forum if you want some links. I suspect that by the time you hit that magical 300 number you've probably learned a lot and hopefully contributed as well.

Unless of course, you posted 300 in one night, but nobody would try that would they?

By the time you get to a hundred, (if you actually read 100 good threads and not introductions ), you won't put too much into forum signature links.

While it helps, there are other things that you can do with your time that help much more if your only intention is to just get 300 posts to remove the no-follows from your signature links.

50 blog posts on the REW blog is going to have much better long term results for one...Adding more content to your own site, Setting up a Facebook account, LinkedIn profile and putting some time into it, etc.. etc..

    Google says
Google sees the attribute (rel="nofollow") on hyperlinks, those links won't get any credit when we rank websites in our search results. http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2005/...ment-spam.html
