Hey gang,
I want to build a really nice page for one of the cities in my area. I also want that page to compete with other websites in Google. So I need your help.
Here are some stats:
Search term: "doylestown real estate"
Competition: trulia, yahoo, homegain, other local websites
# of results in Google: 146,000
Average # of monthly searches: 9,900
My goal is to display the listings in Doylestown, some information about the city, information about the areas subdivisions and communities, local attractions, local employers, monthly market statistics, etc. I want the page to be "sticky" and end up on the first page of Google. Here are the 2 questions:
1. What other information would you include on that page.
2. How would you start building links to that page? What would be your plan of action? If you could break it down step by step on exactly how you would proceed, that would be awsome.
Is it even worth competing with the "big boys", especially with an interior page?
I look forward to your responses.
