Just because it is duplicate content doesn’t mean you won’t get credit for the links. The concern over duplicate content has more to do with which site gets credit as the original source. Only one site is going to get credit as the original source of the content.

The whole concept of article writing and submission is to write quality articles, submit them to quality (and relevant) directories in hopes that the content is picked up by other websites and publishers with your links intact, giving you credit as the author. The more the articles get picked up the more links you’ll get.

Having said that submitting to 200+ directories is a little overkill, there is definitely a point of diminishing return. Personally, it is probably best to pick 15 to 20 of the best directories and spend your time on writing quality articles and submitting to those directories.

thanks nick, what i meant was how to prevent your article to get duplicated? some copy paster don't give credit to you and that's foul.

Cookarikppou, I am certainly no expert, but I don't think the issue is with dup. content and the point is to get the information out to relevant sites for the backlinks. Also there has been a number of previous discussions that indicate it is well worth the time to write good quality articles that other webmasters/web site owners will want to put on their site. It is also my understanding that when you submit your article one of the conditions is that the user (who picks it up off the article site) is that they have to keep the attribution/link live. How do you check to see if users are in compliance? Set up a google alert on key phrases from the article.

There is no way to do that - if they want your copy, they'll have your copy. Just make sure your copy on your site gets indexed before your copy on their site.
