    Default Directorty Submission

Will you ever pay to get listed in a directory( especially all the spammy looking directories we have online now)?

Even with a PR4 and more but with very bad neighbourhood, will you still pay?I paid for directories some years ago and never saw them picked up in the SE's,I also never had any reasonable traffic from them..Now I have to convince others too..

    Pls what do you think?

No, you already have the reason not to pay in the first place.

Unless it's a free one way link to your site, I don't see the benefit.

I hate to chime in here, for obvious reasons, but directory submissions have always been and will continue to be among the strategies that I employ... especially for new sites.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to demonstrate the effectiveness. I agree that it isn't what it used to be but it certainly should be one of the things that you do when developing a diversified link portfolio.

The main reason why someone would pay for a link/listing is simple. Why do you think people advertise in newspapers/tv/magazins...? A. Quality Traffic, Quality Exposure.

If you want a link in a directory with quality traffic related to your business you will defenitely have to pay for it and should as you will be making money with it. Obviously REW is a great quality Website with huge traffic, that's the kind of directory you want to pay to be in but if you pay to be in j0e_bl0w_realestate_wanabee.info directory well you get the point. The higher the quality traffic, the more expensive the link or listing.

I would suggest you to pay for a few months and see how it goes with google links etc, quality directory will give you fast results.

    Good luck.

If you plan to pay for directory listings you should probably take some time and post some free submissions as well. You may decide to quit paying and you will lose your link base. Here is a great list of directories addurl. nu
