Contact a real estate agent. All of those forclosure websites sell outdated information.
The Hud homes are in the MLS and we have the keys to show the properties.
Money Magazine says that Orland Park real estate is one of the best places to live in the U.S. Check out Homer Glen homes if you're interested in living in the newest Chicago suburb. Next door, Lemont homes are the priciest in the southwest suburbs and have held their value, even appreciating while prices in other areas have gone down.
i've seen the HUD website but that is strictly HUD homes right?
Yeah the hud site is govt foreclosures. You can find va and bank foreclosures on this site http://www.ocwen.com/reo/reofindbystate.cfm
As has been previously noted you pretty much have to have a realtor to see either hud's or bank repos.
We've put together a list of foreclosure resources that might be of some help:

Hope you find this useful!
I have started a new foreclosure site, and it's completely free. Go to http://www.closedhomes.com
I found a great list online with links straight to the banks reo sites. http://www.freehudlist.net I have actually found some great homes in my area and working on purchasing them right now..
