    Smile One of my articles may be keeping bad company

    A while back I published an article on Home Staging "Curb Appeal - The Speed Dating of Real Estate" since then it been picked up by a number of questionable blogs. For example this one came in this morning on a google alert that I have for St. John's Real Estate

    These blogs just have a bunch of titles about dating. And God love 'em they all keep the link back to my site.

    Should I be worried? Or have I struck gold? In which case I'll quickly write another article "Buyers Like to Make Dates with Sexy Looking Homes"

    This is very interesting. I don't have a lot to add, but I wanted to drop a comment so that I am subscribed. One thing I do know is picking up traffic from sites that do not have a focus on real estate results in an increase in bounce rate. With that being said, it has always been my opinion that it can't hurt to have extra eyeballs on your site, I just try not to spend time on it.

    Can't wait to see some other responses.

    The only danger would be if you were linking back to them. Otherwise, consider it a free link from a not so great source

    This thread kinda reminds me of one of TLC's new reality shows, "Date My House", where a prospective buyer is "picked" from an open house and given the opportunity to spend the night in the house before making an offer. They can have a fun evening, a good night's sleep (or whatever), breakfast in the morning, then decide whether or not they want the house!

    I thought it was a super cool idea, but then again I haven't weighed the pros and cons at all, it's just a layman's perspective, not a professional opinion

    @Angela,

    In the States we call it "Sleep on It" I personally don't like it because it sets up unrealistic expectations from Buyers. Sorry, NO you can not spend a night in the home! If its vacant, maybe, but occupied??? Nope!

    Same thing with Property Virgins. Sorry, I am not letting any buyer walk in a house escorted.
