    Default Revisting / redesign

    Hello,

I recently changed brokers and wanted to redo mywebsite. Please, be honest, though my content is still being filled in. My website is cincinnatimarketwatch (dot) com

My target market is going to be investors.

    My concerns are the following:
    1. Under available markets --> hamilton. Right now I just have this trend line of information. Then I was going to add a call for action. I wanted to sort of tease what kind of information without giving it all away. I do not know the best way to present this.
    1. My newsletter is a wrapper to the 'corp' site that those people will be automatically put into my database that is connected to my backofffice. I could add my own database, but then would it get to confusing maitaining multiple lists?

I do not have a lot of graphics. I'm not graphically gifted.

Since it is not done, before I go down a road I do nto want to go down, can somebody please provide me with some feedback please?

    Thanks,

DISCLAIMER: this is ONLY a layman's opinion, not a professional opinion LOL

First of all, you have the most perfect name for a realtor, Angela, so you must be trustworthy, friendly, and reliable, 'cuz I know I am

I like the "adjust font" capability on the top right, my muchblinderthanme husband (ha ha) LOVES those on websites...he knows I HATE it when he changes the settings on our PC.

I really liked the personal info you shared, being a solider and all, that would probably make one feel very confident in your services, at least that's how it would make me feel

The colours are nice and to me, it looks like the website kinda has a "KISS" (Keep It Simple Stupid) feel to it. I found it very easy to navigate and very easy to read.

PS There's a typo or two tho...

Best wishes on your journey to your new website

Thank you angela! Since you are the only review, either my site is really bad and people are just speechless or .... i don't know what else.

    It's a work in progress!

IMO, when I first land on the home page, with the width-layout-positioning I feel like its not clear of the message, I see Cincinnati Market Watch, then Huff Realty then something about Home Services of America. I just don't think the initial impact of the message is clear enough, to many things going on there, IMO.

Needs much more content and substance. Tab = "Available Markets", available for what, when viewed it shows that real estate is local and you work in specific areas, I don't think the tab matches the contact, that's the same for some other pages as well. I would hone in more on the pages themselves first to draw the eye better and get some call to actions in there. Hope that helps

Just a quick look and here are some impressions from my perspective which usually means little since it is your site and needs to reflect how you want to portray youself.

Welcome to your guide to buying, selling or renting properties in the Greater Cincinnati area.
    - Where is the information about buying, selling or renting?

opportunities for 1st time and seasoned investors
    - What are the opportunites for 1st time and seasoned investors?

provides you with a variety of information
    - Where is the variety of information?

    - Too much white space

    - Not much content or anything of value to keep one on the site

-You have a featured property page, but nothing is featured. It appears that you are not doing any business.

    - A blog should be about the "now", not I am currently looking for a home to showcase. Once I find that perfect home to promote, I will list it on my blog.. Once again, shows you are not doing business.

    - Seems to be more about you and what you do than information a visitor may be looking for. Almost every page I looked at said I will, I specialize, I am here. No offense, but no one cares about you if they are looking for "a variety of information" or investment information/properties.

    - As a visitor investor, I don't really find anything to keep me on the site or to even want to search for homes. No clear message as Derrick indicated.

    Finally some feedback!

Like I said, I am working on the content. I am a full time college student. My primary focus is college right now. However, in January, when I graduate, I will be doing real estate FULL TIME. So this is my pipeline so when I am ready to unleash myself to the city of cincinnati, I am ready to go.

I've removed my blog and featured property listing.

I am taking another marketing class that might be able to help me define my marketing message. The problem that I have had with marketing & real estate is that I work for a broker. How am I suppose to then 'sub market' myself. I could market cincinnati market watch as my 'brand' or my 'message' but I don't think I should be recreating the wheel either by creating a brand (besides myself).

The broker that I am with is apart of the Home Services of America, which is owned by warren buffet. that is why I chose that company logo.

My problem is that I do not want to just focus on the buy / sell typical website. maybe I should.

No one cares about that, either. The company I work with is a Home Services company as well. People choose to work with you, not the company. In fact, most do not even know who owns the company I work with. Don't waste the most valuable space on your site advertising who you work for.

sheesh, in your first post, you wrote that your content is still being filled in, that's why I didn't comment on the lack of information...

some of us do care about who you are, and what you are about, to me, it gives a sense of whether or not I would like to do business with you, I'm a chick tho, and I guess my perspective is more about esthetics and emotion

    Angela,

I just gave the website a whirl and I agree with Angela, I think the layout is clean and crisp. As you already noted, some graphics would spice things up. What kind of call to actions are you going to add? The site timed out on me a few times when I was trying to navigate around.

Hey Angela! I just tried to visit your website and all it says is "Coming Soon!" at the top left? Are you in the process of uploading some changes?
