I agree with Michael. Don't check just Austin, check 10 different markets, you'll see a trend.

Funny... I just checked out Las Vegas Real Estate and saw how keyword rich the domains were for the top 10... and some of these are sites I've never even seen or heard of before.

yahoo totally bewilders me. I think they have some kind of randomizer at work. Maybe not a randomizer but there must be some third x factor. Maybe they rank sites that were registered on a tuesday or something.

Ditto on this. We don't rank well at all with yahoo, but we dominate (top 5 spots) for Google. What's up with that??

Yep they are hard to figure out. It almost seems to me like they rotate sites. You work your way to the top and then they put you 2 pages back and you start working your way up again. They confuse me.

Recently my site for the major keywords seems to have disappeared from Yahoo. I have not made any changes of late .Although I haven't been adding as much content as in the past I have been managing some additional content.even without adding any content I still have much more content than sites that are ranked above me at present.
Considering listings are refreshed constantly there's always something new on my site.
It does seem to me Yahoo likes to see key words in the domain and have also read in other forums that considerations such as keyword density and on page optimization is more significant for Yahoo.
However at this point it seems rather random to me that I would take such a big fall when I've been ranked well in Yahoo for years .
Any thoughts or analysis of my site would be appreciated .
Well I intend to keep adding content to my website it seems to me that content really is not King to the search engines! I base this on the number of sites that rank well and have little or no original content.

I have heard that with yahoo it is a big help to have the keywords in your URL or URL strings. However in my market there is a guy who ranks very well in Yahoo and his domain is just his name. I don't get it?

I agree Lewi.. Yahoo and google both are very smart. Otherwise it will become very easy for us.. they make our life tough.
